We were fortunate last year in February right before Covid-19 hit to to travel to the Bahamas where we stayed at the beautiful resort, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.

With its numerous glorious pools, we were able to put our poolside relaxation skills to the test.

Our favorite was a gorgeous, tucked away separate pool setting called Baha Bay Beach Club. Can I let you in on this little secret?

There is no place like home! This past challenging year of the pandemic certainly proved Dorothy right. By this time, we all wish we could click our ruby red slippers together three times and get the hell out of our homes. 

But home we are, like it or not. Together. Constantly together. Lots and lots of togetherness.

As we all get on each other’s last nerve in this place called home, I find myself both yearning for the big wide world out there as well as some serious alone time.

Well, I know I could certainly hide out in style in this beautiful blue and white lady’s study I fell in love with at this year’s Mansion in May designer showhouse (which became Splendor in September.)

I recently visited some enormous sunflower fields at Alstede farms here in Chester, New Jersey. We also planted some in our garden.

What can I say…JOY!!!!!!

A worldwide pandemic. Masked people walking the streets. American civil unrest. Riots and violence. Images of anguish, death, and injustice cross our phone and television screens daily. At this point, one could make a very good argument that the world is going to hell in a proverbial hand basket. 

Are we going to make it through all of this? I say YES, ABSOLUTELY! Yet, in these troubled times the Humble Huntress finds herself looking for some earthly symbol of assurance, stability and permanence.

There is one place I know that has inspired such ideals for nearly two millennia.
